Swap your daily coffee for a fresh energizing drink
Coffee is part of our daily routine and we are under the impression that we can’t carry on with our day without the magic cup. Here are my five suggestions, and I am not talking about energy drinks, I am talking about fresh natural drinks that are giving you the same energy or maybe more than a cup of coffee.
- Water and lemon
Drinking water and lemon upon waking stimulates digestion, releases toxins from the liver, jumpstarts your digestive enzymes, and is loaded with vitamin C.
- Smoothies
Smoothies are easy to prepare, delicious, healthy and packed with all the nutrients that your body needs to have enough energy through the day. This is my favourite natural energy drink. If you want more recipes like this one, please click here http://eepurl.com/bbOo_5 and get my free e-book.
Chocolate banana smoothie
1 cup almond or coconut milk
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup kale or spinach
2 tablespoons almond butter
1 tablespoon raw honey or stevia
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder or raw cacao
Ice (optional)
Blend and enjoy.
- Green tea
For a day swap your cup of coffee for a cup of green tea. It doesn’t contain as much caffeine as coffee but just enough to give you the energy to keep going. It’s refreshing, full with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body too.
- Fresh juice
When drinking a fresh juice in the morning is more like receiving an intravenous infusion of minerals, enzymes and vitamins that enter the blood stream immediately, giving you a natural energy bust. Here is my morning juice recipe:
Carrot bliss
2 carrots
6 stalks celery
2 cucumbers
1 apple
1 handful of cilantro
2-inch piece of ginger
Dash of turmeric
- Ginger tea
Ginger has incredible benefits for our health from increasing our metabolism, digestion and circulation. A cup of ginger tea is all any of us needs to get the energy boost we are after.
You can get the caffeine bust without the coffee! I would love to know how you feel at the end of the week.
