Homemade Chocolate
This is why I make my own chocolate …..
Dark chocolate with high cacao content is also a nutritious treat as it is packed with healthy antioxidants. It is raw, gluten-free, and dairy-free. But finding pure dark chocolate without any unnecessary additives can be a real struggle. I always keep a stash in the fridge, totally without guilt.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ TBS raw cacao powder
- 1/2 cup of organic virgin coconut oil
- 4 TBS almond butter (homemade)
- 3 TBS raw honey or agave syrup
- ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. dried cranberries
- 1tsp chopped hazelnuts
- ¼ tsp. orange zest
Some sort of mold into which to pour your chocolate (I use the round -shaped silicone molds) as well as the silicone ice-cube trays or you may also use a pan lined with wax or parchment paper.
Directions
Melt the coconut oil and add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix all of the ingredients until smooth and consistent. Pour the chocolate into molds and place in the freezer to set. After 1 hour pop the chocolates out of the molds. Enjoy in moderation!
