Anca’s detox was a really great experience!

I’ve always wanted to do a detox but it was hard to choose. There are hundreds of websites, magazines, commercials, products and…it was just confusing!

Which detox should be easy to do, budget friendly and especially good for all my problems: autoimmune disorders (have thyroid problems), bad sleep (have a baby), chronic fatigue (too much work)?

I ran into Anca’s Wellness and I absolutely loved her professional health approach, her passion and her knowledge. She really cares about you!

I feel a new woman now, full of energy, clear thinking and even more in lovewith my husband.

My reason for joining ‘Anca’s Wellness’ was the hope that I had come to the end of a journey looking for a healthy program that I could take on as a life time change and not just another diet plan that I would start and know I could not do forever. I believe that I have found just that.

Anca’s Wellness has helped me understand my relationship with food and how I manage cravings and emotional eating. It has given me a chance to see how my body reacts to different food types and to listen to what my body is telling me about the food I consume.

By the time I had completed the pre-detox week and was into my first few days of the detox program I was feeling lighter, more focused and had a load more energy. I was enjoying my food and the recipes that Anca provides in the program are very tasty.

Anca’s one-on-one support is fantastic and she is always ready to discuss any improvements or changes I need as I work through the program to better wellness. There is no pressure to be 100% on target but the main focus being to listen to your body. She puts everything into perspective, which encouraged me to incorporate exercise into my day on a regular basis and enjoy it knowing it is something I could do for the rest of my life.

I do not want to be lining up the medicine on the counter for common illness now or in later years. I believe Anca’s Wellness program provides me with the tools for a ‘life time of wellness’ minimizing the need for medicine to support my health in the future.

This is something that I had wanted to do for myself for a very long time. I finally took the plunge, met with Anca, and am so grateful that I did.

I started off with a two week detox and in that time I lost 7kgs. The two weeks went so well, that I decided to do an additional 2 weeks.

I loved all the recipes and learnt so much about juicing and what foods work best for my digestive system. I had clearer thinking through the process, got off the sugar roller coaster ride as this for me was a real weakness and of course learnt a lot more about the basics of nutrition.

This has been a journey of knowledge and self-discovery. I’m definitely more informed and have started making better choices when I decide on what food to fuel my body with.

Anca’s support has been fantastic. She has walked this road with me every step of the way. She helped me to soar and look and feel more beautiful.

On behalf of the Al Khor Community Management Team, I would like to thank you for your contribution on the 2015 healthy lifestyle campaign-SAHA. Your two workshops, “Detox for Weight Loss” and “A healthier you- 5 tips to live by” were very popular with the 350 SAHA registrants, and offered useful, practical advice on healthy eating and wellbeing. Our residents came from a range of backgrounds and cultures, and you presented this information in an accessible, interactive and entertaining way.

Anca’s Wellness has been a brilliant start to our new healthier lifestyle. To begin with it was just about losing weight, however through consultations and support direct from Anca we realized this was about changing our attitude to our fitness, diet and emotional wellbeing. Yes, my husband and I both lost weight. I have lost all the weight I gained from my two pregnancies and more, however my attitude to food is what has really changed. I still enjoy and love food as I always have, but now my cravings is for fruits and nuts and Chia pudding not a Kit Kat chunky!

My moods have changed for the positive and energy levels are up, and that has been the most notable difference for me as a working mum. When I have found myself nibbling on carbohydrate overload meals I have felt lethargic and moody. It all sounds so cliché and I have read so many testimonials that have been this positive before and I have “thought this cannot be for real”, but it is!

I am now just starting my second detox which I love because of the lift it gives me and we plan to do this regularly to give our bodies a real spring clean! Since committing to the detox, and ridding ourselves of cravings and bad eating habits we have found opting for a healthier eating plan, along with fitness ( when we can fit it in) easy for the long term. Our children have loved the change in the eating too.

Being a ‘bread lover’ I was under the impression that meals without bread and ending without a slice of cake or pastries will never satisfy me. However following Anca’s Wellness plan I learned so much about flavours and ways to prepare fresh foods that I wouldn’t normally make. I loved that everything was planned out for me and I didn’t have to think about what I was going to eat.

After a few days my brain felt sharper, I had lots of energy and I was mellow and happy. Eating clean it felt so good and I didn’t crave so much for chocolate and pastries. I didn’t feel like starving myself as I was allowed to snack in between meals. I also had plenty of support and encouragement from Anca through daily emails. Now I’m always conscious of what I eat and how it makes me feel and I ‘m looking forward to my second detox.
